Join the team from Go Stargazing for this family friendly weekend festival celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first Apollo moon landing…
The event comprises two nights camping with enthusiastic amateur astronomers hosting family orientated activities including:
– indoor planetarium shows
– virtual reality rocket launch experience
– astronomy talks and presentations
– introduction to telescopes and telescope clinic
– see the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter and deep sky objects through large telescopes
– view the Sun using special solar telescopes
– observe bright passes of the International Space Station
– bottle rocket competition (astronomical prizes to be won!)
