Royal Observatory Lunar Eclipse Livestream

16th July 2019 @ 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm

This free online-only event will be livestreaming a spectacular view of the rising Moon as it is being partly eclipsed by Earth’s shadow. On the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomers will be looking out from the top of the most historic building on the site, capturing live images of the partial lunar eclipse in progress. They’ll be able to answer all your Moon questions live… from why the Moon goes a deep red during such an event through to answering questions about the science Neil and Buzz did on the Moon in July 1969. Send in your questions via our Facebook Live event page before the show starts and we’ll answer them live and give you the best tips on how to see this amazing event yourself and capture it on camera.
